1st International Symposium on Space Life Sciences

UBM 2014

Dear Colleagues and Dear Students,

On behalf of the School of Physical Education and Sport at Marmara University (Istanbul) and the German Aerospace Center (DLR in Cologne), we are very pleased to invite you to the First International Symposium on Space Life Sciences in Turkey.

This symposium is focused on to develop international collaborations with the research institutes in Germany for Turkish graduate students in life sciences, sport sciences, medical faculties and also in the field biomedical engineering.

We will try to provide an excellent opportunity to discuss the interfaces and interactions between space physiology and technologies and the impact on earth applications. The symposium will cover topics ranging from space medicine and space physiology to space analogues such as research in Antarctica, bed rest, dry immersion as well as topics related to neuroscience and exercise sciences.

Our aim is to bring together scholars from the international research community and graduate students from Turkey to envision future cooperative research on Space Life Sciences.

The aim is to structure an interactive program which will also include workshop sessions for discussion with students.

We will also organize a satellite symposium “Exercise in Space” on the 14th November 2014!

We look forward to meet you on 21th-22th November 2014 in Istanbul!
